The Soviet Construction Yard for my Red Alert Zero mod;

Both the Allied and Soviet Conyards build their base structures similar to the Empire in RA3- by sending out mobile Construction vehicles to deploy them. However, these vehicles move much faster when inside the build radius, and much slower when outside- so that base building is quick and convenient- while expanding outside more difficult.

Base defenses, walls and probably superweapons are built traditional CNC style (within the Conyard's radius).

As you can see, this is based on my older command center concept- greatly renovated; which I greatly wanted to reuse.
(see it here)

I wanted something substantial (a focal point of the base) and largely symmetrical- but showing both command-center stuff, the vehicle-exit, the construction crane, and lots of machinery and 'CNC Soviet architecture'. I came up with several concepts that didn't quite look right- then I tried re-working those ideas into the unused Command Center artwork, and everything started coming together!

Note- the crane functions differently depending on what is constructed- in both cases, a container is hauled out on that conveyer-belt behind it and it picks it up- but:
-If the structure is a base structure made via MCV- the crane drops the box on the back of the construction vehicle that exits the central gate;
-If the structure is a wall or defense, the crane drops it on the platform to the right which retreats below ground.

I actually like this a lot better than the Soviet conyards from RA2&3, looks more like a headquarters, it practically says "I'm the most important structure you'll find.". Well done.

Yep- the old Conyards just looked like a junior War Factory with a Crane- I wanted this to look very, well, Important!

This. Is... Magnificent!!!! It is great structure, which represents the heart of the base well! Thought I imagined it more like a castle from RA2, but this looks more modern in design, that is good! :D Only there will be needed to add on the back (back view), but it is great as it is :D Perfect!

Awesome! Thankyou very much!
For me its like I managed to achieve two impossible things at once- transfer the Generals-style CommCenter to Conyard System, and design a major ConYard with a large list of specific features (including heavily-industrial touches).

For the back... I think it will mostly be flat plain brick surface with some thinner vertical pipework and/or metal brackets running up and down, perhaps; And maybe if applicable, a difference in protrusion between the 'center tower' and the 'sloping side towers' (eg one of the two groups stick out further back than the other type)- but whatever's easy.

Speaking of Castles, I was thinking of putting more 'old' architecture into the War Command- rather than a concrete base, I was thinking of trying a sandstone castle brick base....

Oh, than congratulations to you :D

Flat plain back would look little weird, maybe to add there some small structure, but not large, just that the side isnt completely flat :)

I am not sure... why not a brick castle-like structure? Like Soviet architects designed it to remind castle? In fact, Kremlin is Russian word for castle or fort.

:D

For the back- perhaps some 'boiler tanks' or something?

War Command- I plan to do that too of course ;)
The building will be majority red-brick; but with some stone-brick replacing parts that would normally be concrete- as well as 'corner stones'. And definitely a 'recreation'- I figured the idea is the original structure was in fact a converted castle- but somehow the design carried over into architectural blueprints- and it just kept getting copied for later castles! (it would actually be an exact same story as how the Polish Pancerni Cavalry Corps' got their standardized Islamic-style armor).

I didn't know that "Kremlin" meant "Castle"- but I can now instantly see the connection ;)
By the way- check the wiki I put some more flags up!

Maybe, and maybe one part of the structure to extend to the back?

I see. :) And some antennas and radar dish :)

:D I also didnt knew that :P The wiki... I am tired from talking about 16 different units, so I am not much to replying to them, but flags I will look on them, and reply :)
