Description

First of all, a big thankyou for the feedback!
I've spent a while tinkering with the more refined elements- but failing that, have decided to show you the general alterations and possible positions (if you like, I'll refine them properly!)

Right now, I've two possible designs (as always, a mish-mash of ideas to mixed-and-matched). Across both of them:
-Hull 4's design is 'puffed' (less lateral slope; making it a little more rectangular) to conceal the bases of the turrets. Now there is more roof space (and implied internal space); All turrets are positioned closer together, and further back along the hull.
-The mini-turrets are no longer AA-capable, allowing a shorter main turret platform, and a LARGER main turret (still high enough to peer over them) thanks to the conical platform design. The rear compartment on the main turret has been elongated (it is not a clipping problem, as it shares the same altitude as the guns)
-The main cannons were shortened, but otherwise unaltered. I still plan on doing proper unique variants. The MRLS on the roof is the SAME size as the SMALLER variant on the previous concept. I honestly think this is about as small as they SHOULD get: it would easily still harbour the aurora wrapped around the base (not depicted), and a double-gun turret roof can be a component of other Hull-4 configurations.

There are four features separated by these designs:
1- The tracks. Either 2x (like most tanks) or 4x (like most crawlers). Both are real-world configurations with advantages and disadvantages (weight distribution vs maintenance and assembly advantages). I prefer 4x, as it gives nice visual symmetry (and a nice ladder).
2- Main gun 'socket'. Ball sockets (shown top) can be placed further apart; modern gun mounts must be based close to center (they fit in a 'cleft' in the front of the turret). If the modern design is selected, it may be a good idea to have both cannons share the same mount. Note, I added lazy-looking 'flaps' on top of the modern mounts- I can remove these if you want :P
3- Optics. Single centrally-placed optic + periscope is good for the 'spaced apart' gun config (the commander and gunner sit between the guns). The asymmetrical version is better for guns placed together (gunner and commander sit either side). I placed TWO optics to show what it would look like, but having just one (opposite flank to the periscope) might look very nice.
4- Driver's cabin. Hull 1's cabin is larger, and thus must be placed in FRONT and below the guns (the roof is level to the Hull's actual roof). This may stick out forward a bit (probably not a big problem really), so there is the basic compact round cupola that may be placed level with the guns, higher up.

NOT included in this diagram:
-The aurora device (coming soon)
-Proper mini-turret redesigns
-Hatches, visors etc as I wanted to focus on the basic redesign.

Let me know what you think!
